Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Supply Planning Analyst to support the development and execution of supply plans across designated plants and third-party suppliers. This role plays a key part in aligning demand with production and procurement activities, ensuring an integrated and efficient supply chain.
Working closely with Production Scheduling, Procurement, and Customer Service teams, this role will help ensure continuity of supply, identify risks, and contribute to operational excellence within the franchise.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation and maintenance of a Master Resource Plan (MRP) aligned with current demand signals, covering a planning horizon of up to 24 months
- Assist in developing capacity plans to identify bottlenecks, supply risks, and underutilization, and recommend appropriate mitigation actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production scheduling, procurement, and customer service to ensure an integrated supply plan
- Track execution of the supply plan, ensuring alignment with production and purchasing activities; monitor and address performance deviations
- Support setting appropriate inventory levels (safety stock) by analyzing demand variability and lead times
- Monitor and proactively communicate back orders and supply risks, partnering with stakeholders to mitigate issues
- Ensure proper product lifecycle planning, including new product introductions and phase-outs, with clear communication to business partners
- Maintain accurate supply planning master data within planning systems to enable effective decision-making
- Contribute to daily, weekly, and monthly supply planning processes, including executive supply reviews
- Analyze performance metrics such as:
- Supply Plan Attainment
- Safety Stock Health
- Capacity Utilization
- Back Orders
- Lead Times
- Identify root causes of performance issues and recommend corrective actions to leadership
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in supply planning, demand planning, or production planning
- (Entry-level graduates with relevant coursework or internships may be considered)
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, JDE, or equivalent
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Preferred
- Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Understanding of supply chain planning concepts, including MRP and inventory management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions
